Ilchi Lee Brain Education for the Children of El Salvador

On the 23rd of May year 2011, a team of 4 from the IBREA or the International Brain Education Association, went to Tonacatepeque, El Salvador to start the implementation of the Ilchi Lee Brain Education, which lasted for about 3 months. The said project trained about 42 teachers, so as 1,702 students.

The Brain Education training took place at the Centro Escolar Distrito Italia, which is an educational institution that is 40 kilometers away from the capital city. Based on the history of El Salvador, this area endured violence, conflict, as well as drug abuse for a long span of time. It is astonishing to know that 50% of the population of this El Salvadorian area is made up of gang members.

Just think about how difficult it is for the children who are living in that location. Therefore, it is a good thing that the International Brain Education Association reached its hands to the people there. As highly cognizable, the Brain Education, which was founded by New York Times Bestselling Author, Dr. Ilchi Lee, focuses on the development of the potential of the human brain.

Ilchi Lee believes that once the brain has reached its full potential, it could be a magnificent tool for the betterment, not only of the life of the practitioner, but also the lives of the other people in the community.
For the past years, there were evidences that justified the dramatic, positive results that the Brain Education could render, especially in terms of alleviating trauma and its efficiency in managing stressful environments.

The goal of the IBREA team that went to Tonacatepeque, El Salvador to help the community in regulating their primary challenges that are associated to trauma due to continued violence and war. The IBREA team educated the 42 teachers regarding how to teach their fellow educators, as well as how they could expand the overall effect of Brain Education in their school.

After the span of 3 days, the students and the teachers showed appreciation and love for the Brain Education classes. Also, the school director that time was really astonished with the enjoyment of the students to the activities. As said by the school director, many of the students were involved in gangs.

The Brain Education project in El Salvador is the pilot project of the International Brain Education Association. The effects on the beneficiaries of the Brain Education activities were determined, since research studies were conducted at the same time.

The research studies that were done in the students and teachers of the Centro Escolar Distrito Italia has become the foundation and inspiration to expand the goodness of Brain Education to other countries and schools. Also, one of the main goals of the expansion of Brain Education is to render assistance to individuals who are experiencing the stress because of social instability and violence.

The success of the project of International Brain Education Association justifies that the Ilchi Lee Brain Education could be the key towards the personal and social betterment.
